The world has changed over the last two years, and there’s no going back to the way things were before COVID-19 forced us all to think differently. Some businesses have closed the doors forever and other entrepreneurs have thrived. What makes the difference? The ability to adapt to changing demands and move with the times.
…align the brand to achieve maximum exposure and opportunity
Brent Yaschuk and Gerry Yan of Scout Innovations understand the evolving market and would perhaps consider themselves ‘ahead of the curve’ as they were early adopters of e-commerce platforms.
Yan has been designing websites for a couple decades, helping clients from all walks of life launch a new start-up or expand a product line. Through his creativity and expertise, dozens of successful websites have been born.
“We take an individual approach with each customer, because every business is unique and there’s no cookie cutter solution that works for all,” said Yan. “We consider the client’s target audience and how we can align the brand to achieve maximum exposure and opportunity.”
Yaschuk has a couple decades of sales and marketing expertise behind him and realized early on that while nothing beats face-to-face connections, digitization is the way of the future.
“Digital marketing and e-commerce platforms are an entrepreneur’s best friends,” said Yaschuk. “There’s no better way to reach thousands of potential customers than through a creative email campaign or a well thought out online store – or both.”
There’s nothing more important than an effective website…
Yan and Yaschuk both have extensive knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) which helps ensure their clients’ websites aren’t buried at the bottom of a Google search. “There’s nothing more important than an effective website, especially over the past few months when face-to-face interactions have been limited,” said Yaschuk.
However, putting the benefits of online marketing aside, Yaschuk is definitely a people person to the core. He loves getting out and collaborating one-on-one with his clients. “Sometimes the greatest ideas come to light with a pen and a napkin over an enlightening lunch!”
Going back 20 years or so, that’s most likely how Yan and Yaschuk launched one of their first projects together. Sitting in someone’s living room after a trip to the wine store – great ideas abound!
